Kontera decided they needed a custom global gift for all their international offices—and they needed the final artwork at the printer in exactly forty-eight hours.

Faced with a deadline that felt more like a dare, I did what any resourceful designer would do: I “deputized” a Junior Designer and launched an all-out creative raid. We scavenged a library of eclectic clip art and began a caffeinated marathon to map out the world, one month at a time. We paired each office city with quirky, high-energy illustrations, turning a frantic “random” selection into a cohesive, fun-filled calendar.

Against all odds, we delivered. The result wasn’t just a mousepad; it was a global hit that proved we could move at the speed of light without losing our sense of humor.
